Awatashan
Performance installation
The audience is invited to enter the installation alone. Inside, they are experiencing a personal meeting with “The Awatashan”. In certain North American Indian tribes, Trans, homosexuals and lesbians were considered to be a third sex holding clairvoyance, healing and spiritual powers. Through the enactment of this native myth Ane Lan raises question of the history of “queer”-culture related to current New Age and alternative practises.
